Silt Police Department is holding their annual
Bicycle Rodeo and Safety Event on
May 14, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in Veteran's Park.
There will be a climbing wall, prizes, helmets and a
drawing for free bicycles!!!! Bring the kids!

The Town of Silt is located 185 miles West of Denver, on the I-70 and Colorado River corridor. Silt's location make it a gateway to numerous outdoor activities, including hunting & fishing , skiing & snowboarding , snowmobiling , camping , hiking and more.
Silt enjoys four beautiful seasons with mild snow in winter and high desert summers. There is much opportunity to observe wildlife such as deer and elk. In addition to a Blue Heron Rookery, the river corridor hosts several resident bald eagles and provides wintering grounds for more. West of Silt approximately 50 miles is the Little Bookcliffs where one can see wild mustangs.
East 14 miles is the Glenwood Canyon that provides visitors and residents endless adventure. Bicycling through the Canyon, rafting or fishing the Colorado River, hiking the Hanging Lake or Storm King Trails, just to name a few. |
