Janet Aluise

Janet has been with the Town of Silt since March of 2011, although she previously worked for the Town from 2000 to 2007.  She currently holds the position of Community Development Director.  Janet has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Colorado at Boulder in Environmental, Populational and Organismal Biology (1995).  The Community Development Director is responsible for reviewing all land use applications in accordance with the Town's adopted Comprehensive Plan and the Silt Municipal Code, assisting the public with building and miscellaneous permits, issuing special event vendor permits, eliciting sponsorships for recreation and concerts, and organizing concert events.  Janet renders recommendations to the Town Administrator, the Planning and Zoning Commission, and the Board of Trustees.  She oversees the Building Inspector and the Planning Technician, and is also responsible for writing ordinances and resolutions, performing studies related to planning projects, administering the Town's recreation events and special events, administering the Town's property/casualty insurance, serving as the Town's webmaster and writing grants.  If you should have any questions, please feel free to contact Janet at jaluise@townofsilt.org or at 876-2353, Ext. *814.
